  • Physical Education & Theatre

    This class will focus on a different topic each quarter.

    • First quarter - group games such as dodgeball and kickball

    • Second quarter - social dancing such as square and line dancing

    • Third quarter - focus will be on fitness exercises

    • Fourth quarter - all students will participate in the production of a play to be performed for parents at the end of the year

  • Science

    Students will be learning about the human body and properties of matter this year. Our focus will be learning how God has designed us and our world using hands on learning activities.

  • Art

    Students will be studying a variety of American artists this year. They will learn about the artist and the mediums that they used to make their artwork. Students will have the opportunity to make a project to apply what they have learned about each artist. We will study 12 different artists over the course of the year.

  • American Sign Language

    This ASL class will cover the basics of the language. Students will learn the alphabet, colors, animals, grammatical differences from English, basic conversation (Hello, what is your name? Where are you from? What is your favorite animal, color, etc.), and facial grammar. Students will work on both receptive skills and expressive skills. Students will also learn about deaf culture, how ASL came to be a language, and deaf missionaries taking the gospel to other counties to reach more of the deaf community.
